I am a medium-built woman aged 30. I love Martial arts and even works of art. I graduated Linguistics and Literature at the University of San Carlos. Proud Carolinian here. I am into boxing, swimming, singing, and almost anything that a guy and a woman can do. Metrobank launches their New Website and Services, shares Current Economic Status for 2020

Last January 31, 2020, media and bloggers were invited by Metrobank for a press conference at the Pig and Palm Restaurant.

Jette Gamboa had her talk about the current status of the economy in a national and regional perspective. She then focused about Cebu being the 2nd favored destination in the Philippines after Boracay, and further talked about the economic growth in the Queen City of the South.

Jette also discussed the Metrobank story and how Metrobank expanded and grew from the last 50 years. She also talked about all the services they offer to customers as well as their strong market position. Metrobank offers the most complete products when it comes to banking, 47 branches and 162 ATMs in Cebu. And as Jette said “Metrobank is the trusted business partner of their clients and they offer the most complete financial solutions across all segments”.

The next person to talk was the Chief Marketing Officer, Digs Dimagiba. Digs shared about how the launch went for Meaningful Banking last year. He said that everything they do and everything they want to do is focused mainly on the customer. Due to the rise of mobile technology, they want to cater to the customers of today by meeting with the media and social media folks who has better and practical audience reach. Metrobank through Meaningful Banking promises to focus on educating and guiding their customers before selling them a service, provide a delightful experience to the customers, help their customers accelerate in life.

Digs shared the launching of a totally new website for Metrobank and their customers. Easier navigation and consistent look are just two of the updates of their website. Easy to use tools for customers to find it easy to choose and understand they product they need. He also shares that people don’t necessarily have to line up anymore to transact business with Metrobank, they already have both cardless withdrawal and deposit, as well as online business transactions through their Mobile App.

Together with the management, media and gym-goers, we the invited bloggers witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

LoveYourself Launches SafeSpacesPH in Metro Cebu

Cebu City—The SafeSpacesPH, one of the programs of LoveYourself Inc, will be officially launched in metro Cebu on November 29 at the LoveYourself White House, this
city. It will be attended by the officers of Cebu City Health Office and the Department of
Health (DOH) Central Visayas.
Metro Cebu is comprised of Cebu City and the six surrounding cities (Carcar, Danao, Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Naga, and Talisay) and six municipalities (Compostela,
Consolacion, Cordova, Liloan, Minglanilla, and San Fernando).SafeSpacesPH is an app by LoveYourself that can be downloaded in Google Playstore
and Apple App Store for free. It helps young adults find the nearest establishments
offering free condoms and water-based lubricants.

A project in partnership with the DOH, SafeSpacesPH was first launched in the Greater
Manila Area. When the White House opened in April 2019, it became the first SafeSpaces
partner in this city. Anytime Fitness became the second and newest partner in October
2019. Anyone can now get free condoms and lubes in their four branches.“We aim to bring two of the three components of the Triangle of Self-Care to everyone.
With SafeSpaces, we address safe and satisfying sex, and correct and consistent
condom use,” said Robin Avorque, Program Officer for SafeSpaces PH.

The Triangle of
Self-care is what LoveYourself promotes in the prevention of HIV. It includes timely testing
and treatment.
Avorque disclosed that the program’s goal in 2020 is to partner with local coffee shops,
hostels, and LGBT-friendly businesses.
Jan Estrada, head of LoveYourself Cebu, highlighted the importance of the project to
Cebuanos. “There are several reasons why people have no access to condoms and
lubricants.

We want to somehow bridge that gap. We want to tell our Cebuano young adults that there’s nothing wrong with getting condoms and lubricants. We’re giving it for
free to empower them to care for themselves. “Central Visayas has the fourth-highest number of HIV cases in the country. In July 2019
alone, there are 93 new HIV cases diagnosed. Nationwide, there are 35 new cases
diagnosed per day.

ARC Hospitals celebrate their First Anniversary

ARC Hospitals celebrated their First Anniversary last Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Together with content creator friends, we witnessed the blessing and ribbon-cutting of their very own blood bank and dialysis center.

ARC Hospitals was planted with the vision from the late Consul Arcadio C. Alegrado to provide high quality, efficient, and affordable medical care for the local community.

Allegiant Regional Care Hospitals is a private healthcare facility that was established on August 17, 2018 to cater the residents of Metro Cebu with a focus on the cities of Lapu-lapu and Cordova, offering affordable yet quality healthcare to all their patients.

Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan was also there during the press conference wherein the doctors proudly shared that ARC Hospitals will be the very first hospital in Lapulapu City having it’s own Blood Bank. And with this, Mayor Chan will be starting a blood-letting program wherein all the baranggays in Lapulapu can take part.

Hundreds of people benefited from the free services they gave back to the community. Free medicines were also given away and I was able to bring home vitamins for my kids. (Please see video attached above for full free services during the community fair.)

I Challenged Isla Sugbu Seafood City and they NAILED it!

Together with the Cebu Content Creators, we went to the Grand Convention Center to dine and challege Isla Sugbu Seafood City to recreate our favorite seafood dishes.

I was able to taste seafood pasta for the first time in Sugbo Mercado in Mandaue City and since I was craving for more of it, I challenged Isla Sugbo to recreate it. The first try was simply shrimps on top of the carbonara but the chef of Isla Sugbo made it a lot better as there were scallops added on the heavily delicious white cream on their pasta recreation.

I did not get to only try the food I challenged them to recreate, as I also had the best time tasting all the dishes my friends challenged them to cook. I really loved the flavorful chili crabs and not to mention the huge chunks of crab meat inside those strong shells, which you need to use a shell cracker to open.

All the seafood they cook are fresh and ready for their customer’s requests. You can request any type of dish made from those fresh seafood. When I entered the place saw live lobsters, oysters, crabs and shrimps!

The service we received from their staff was outstanding. They always serve with a smile. You will feel very welcome there in Isla Sugbu.

Lunch P820 = P797 per head plus 3% service charge
Dinner P873 = P848 plus 3% service charge exclusive of drinks and dessert

Lamoiyan Corporation rolls out Kilusang Kontra Kuto Year 4

Together with mommy bloggers and blogger friends, I went to Labangon Bliss Elementary School today, September 30, 2019, to witness the movement launched by Lamoiyan Corporation in partnership with Department of Education.

Lamoiyan Corporation targets to shampoo 6000 head lice infested students in around 30 schools nationwide. 10 each from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Yesterday, September 28, 2019, the Cebu Content Creators were invited to be part of the 2nd day of Cetaphil’s National Healthy Skin Mission at the lower ground floor of SM City Cebu. Margrette Ann Sinajon of Margrette Vlogs from Youtube joined here fellow Content Creators and covered the said event.

Hosted by Kristine Fernandez, the program started by Mr. Carlo Ulep, Trade Marketing Manager of Galderma Philippines welcoming the guests to the 2nd day of the event. Afterwards, Dr. Kristy Alo, M.D., had her talk on Atopic Dermatitis which is also known as Eczema or in Cebuano “kagid”.

I learned a lot from her talk especially when she shared that the skin condition is passed on not because it’s contagious, but because of genes. That in order to address the concern, we need to protect the skin since people with Eczema have weak skin barriers which make them prone to bacteria and other harmful elements. By simply moisturizing the skin on a daily basis, and not for just a short time, we can help prevent further damage of the skin especially for patients suffering from Atopic Dermatitis.

Skin911 opens it’s 19th branch in Belmont One in Minglanilla

Today, September 29, 2019, together with Cebu Media friends and beauty vloggers attended the blessing and ribbon-cutting of the newest Skin911 branch in Belmont One, Brgy. Calajo-an, Minglanilla, Cebu which is a few steps away from Anjo’s World.
