Last January 31, 2020, media and bloggers were invited by Metrobank for a press conference at the Pig and Palm Restaurant.
Jette Gamboa had her talk about the current status of the economy in a national and regional perspective. She then focused about Cebu being the 2nd favored destination in the Philippines after Boracay, and further talked about the economic growth in the Queen City of the South.
Jette also discussed the Metrobank story and how Metrobank expanded and grew from the last 50 years. She also talked about all the services they offer to customers as well as their strong market position. The next person to talk was the Chief Marketing Officer, Digs Dimagiba. Digs shared about how the launch went for Meaningful Banking last year. He said that everything they do and everything they want to do is focused mainly on the customer. Due to the rise of mobile technology, they want to cater to the customers of today by meeting with the media and social media folks who has better and practical audience reach. Metrobank through Meaningful Banking promises to focus on educating and guiding their customers before selling them a service, provide a delightful experience to the customers, help their customers accelerate in life.
Digs shared the launching of a totally new website for Metrobank and their customers. Easier navigation and consistent look are just two of the updates of their website. Easy to use tools for customers to find it easy to choose and understand they product they need. He also shares that people don’t necessarily have to line up anymore to transact business with Metrobank, they already have both cardless withdrawal and deposit, as well as online business transactions through their Mobile App.
