The Sustainable Diner

WWF Philippines is part of the WWF network – the world’s largest and most experience conservation organization that operates in over 100 countries. Since it joined the WWF’s roster of national organizations in 1997, WWF-Philippines has been successfully implementing projects that find new and sustainable ways of using the planet’s natural resources, with the aim of protecting the environment for both people and nature.

During the launching of The Sustainable Diner here in Cebu, I was one of the fortunate few who received the Bokashi Composting Bins. I am already approaching phase two of the journey wherein I have to dig up a hole in my backyard and compost the food wastes I have gathered for the previous month or so and wait for another two weeks for it be ready for seedlings to be planted. I have the introductory video of my journey in my Youtube Channel. Check it out.

You can also take part of being a Sustainable Diner by being conscious with the food choices that you have everyday. From selecting ugly produce, to eating vegetables and also composting your trash to help decrease the harmful gases produced by our food wastes that end up in the landfills.
